i have just bought a os.21 for my tmaxx and i wanna find out the best gearing to use with the proline 40 series.

I would keep it stock 20/72 or maybe go 22/70. That will give you more top end and with the additional torque of the .21 you're bottom end won't suffer. I run a 22/72 setup for my .18 and like it. I use 40 series bow ties. I did have to adjust my transmission shift point after changing gears.
