gas tank seal
earlier i posted that my 3.3 would not run with the glow plug ignitor. last night i was checking over the truck to see if there is anything i could find that was wrong. i have new fuel lines. and dubro filter. i am going to buy new fuel monday to see if the traxxas fuel i have is bad. as i was looking over the truck i found the seal on the fuel tank lid had a little gash in it. is that something that would make the symptoms that i have. it is running only with a glow ignitor on the plug as soon as i take it off it dies. would a little air leak do this. i have tuned the carb and i know that is not the problem.

RE: gas tank seal
If the engine runs with the ignitor attached but dies as soon as it is removed then thee are only two or three things that cause that.
If the engine is new and going through break in then you are likely very rich on the carb settings.
If the engine is broken in and has been tuned AND has a history of running well then it's either a bad/weak glow plug or something sticking in the clutch/drive train.
No offense to you but it's been my experence that when someone says something like "it's tuned good, I know that's not the problem" then that usually IS the problem.
