could be the clutch, but you would prbably hear something if it was,
i say that there is a 99% chance that it is a pin in the tranny, but the only way your gunna know is if you look in the tranny case, i believe the part you would need is under "primary gears" in the manual, it's part no. 4995....$6

Check your slipper clutch and make sure its not to loose, put an allen wrench in the hole in the spur gear shaft and try to move the spur gear if it turns easily then its to loose, tighten it up if needed

Then the clutch shoes in the clutch bell
Then the tranny or diffs. I sure would not pull the tranny until I had checked the slipper and clutch shoes.

the spur gear is brand new. how would i know if the clutch is worn by looking at it? it seems the have like pieces missing from the in side of it. like i siad the truck moves but doesnt acclerate very well. the spur is tight.

When you take the clutch bell off. look at the edge than makes contact with the bell if it is worn down to the spring then it needs replaced. if it looks real shiny it might be glazed over, you could try to scuff it up with a scotchbrite pad or some real fine sandpaper, or just replace the clutch shoes, less than $15 at the LHS

fixed it!!!! the spur was lose because i had melted on on to the slipper and had never really gotten all of the plastic off and it was slippen so its fixed now. thanks for the help.
