Howdy Amigo,

I had the same problem with the original 3.3 on my T-Maxx. I then bought a Picco .26Maxx and it had the same problem. Turns out that after replacing the fuel tank, fuel line, sealing both engine carbs and back plates that the problem was... The Muffler. It was restircting the exhaust flow. Check yours to see if you can blow thru it and if it is hard to do that, then bore out the exhaust pipe's output. Hope this will help you.

sounds like an air leak to me. Is there any fuel residue under the clutch/flywheel? Did you seal the motor before you stated using it? Piccos like to leak around the HSN and the carb base.

Check the clutch and shoes also as this can cause motor to shut off when bad.

Replace the clutch shoes, springs, clutchbell and clutchbell bearings. THEN try to tune it. I recommend MIP clutch shoes. BTW, I found my Picco idles and runs a lot better with a MIP steel flywheel.
