RE: Revo or T-maxx
i have had a tmaxx all my live...
and if you need a truck for new hardware then you might want to get a brand new tmaxx 3.3 and used the old .15 for a spare parts or something...
if you like to bash go with t maxx
if you like to race go with revo...

The Revo has no problem bashing. Why is it that everybody thinks it is only good for racing? I've put mine through hell and have yet to break anything... except for blowing up the crappy 3.3.

RE: Revo or T-maxx
Is the 3.3 really that bad? I was considering paying the $115 to get my 2.5 upgraded, but I've been hearing a lot of complaints about it. . .
Plus, I don't know if I'd need a new motor mount. Has anybody done this swap?

RE: Revo or T-maxx
in a revo you dont need a new motor mount. In a Tmaxx it depends if you have a 2.5 or a .15 version.
also my vote is REVO its strong just there are some problems but they are very minor compared to a maxx. main problems are the header, motor mounts can be a pain after a while but its not too bad just kinda difficult to work on if you use hex drivers as opposed to hex keys.

RE: Revo or T-maxx
I would go with the revo i have the Revo 2.5R with 3.3 on it. T-maxx 15 with 2.5r on it. Motor mounts are the same for the revo from 2.5 to 3.3 and T-Maxx motor mount works for all 3 engines, but would upgrade motor mount for T-maxx if you go to the 3.3. T-maxx is just my cheap to to play with at college while my Revo is at home to really have fun with. I haven't had a problem with the 3.3 engine either i love it lots of power.

After owning a T-Max 2.5 for four years, I would have to say the Revo is the way to go! Its newer, better and well designed.
