If the majority answers between 1 and 5 gallons then you know that 10+ gallons may not be realistic.
What it is not clear from the poll is whether "Stampede Killer" is asking:
1) "how long did you trx 3.3 engine last before the first reparation"?
or
2) "how long did you trx 3.3 engine last before completely failure (where a reparation is out of question)"?

RE: how long
5 gallons and still going strong
I say this because the piston and sleeve are still making great power. I have had many issues with other engine components failing though as some of you know. The things that have failed are typically not things that fail too commonly. It is usually the rod or bearings that go and ruin the piston sleeve and then you need to a new engine completely as it also damages the case and head. The issues I had break were backplate, crankshaft and case. My head has damage but it is still managing to make power and run great. I just finished my fifth gallon on this piston and sleeve and I swear it seems to have at least another 3 gallons left. I blew the first connecting rod in less than 5 days at about a gallon. It was cold out and I think it was not warmed up enough when I started to put the hammer down. I screamed like a banshee then let out a big FART! and rolled to a stop. Rod was mangled. Revo champ split his rod last night with about one gallon on it. Split right down the seem in the middle. Definatly a manufacture defect. He needs to post pics of it.

RE: how long
Like most of the people here have already mentioned; it depends on how the engine is treated; whether or not it has ever been run too hot for any extended period of time, etc etc. There are quite a number of variables here on this one imo.....my revo 3.3 has about 1 1/4 gallons on it so far and is still running very strong....

RE: how long
Since my piston and sleeve still make good compression I think that is surely possible but losing track of how much fuel has been burned is easy to do. I'm still a bi unsure on how much I have burned but I know it has at least 4 3/4 through it. I think it is right at the 5th gallon mark.

I voted 3.... although I don't have a 3.3... my 2.5r has lasted about that long... and would probably still run today if I didn't have the 323.

RE: how long
well a con-rod failure is either user-caused.(to lean conditions and high temps or caused by over revving the engine or driving w/o a load on the engine too much.)
sorry to break it to ya bro just doesn't happed often unless your a hard basher which you probably are.

thats what my buds rustler .15 does not nitro sport. the way old rustlers that were .15.
and it has no compression what so ever. but runs good a lil hot but good.
