Default Update!!!!

Well everyone, I have been running my Revo and loving it. For all those people that pitched in to help me learn to tune this thing I would like to tell you that I think I got this tuning thing down to a science. Today I installed the new Resonator pipe that Traxxas sent me for keeping my Revo in repair for so long and I had to reset all the needles back to factory and retune it for the new pipe and I tuned my Revo back to normal in like 5 mins!!!!! I am so proud of myself!!!
I really love this thing!!!!!

Oh and I love the loudness and sound of the new pipe. Infact my Revo wheelies like a SOB.

Ahhhhhhhhh Success!!!!

Oh and by the way, I have not used the temp gauge since I said I would stop using it.

Well, as far as "nitro at its greatest" not yet. I still need to learn (and not be a wuss) about jumping my Revo and landing on my wheels. Watching it haul ***** through a leaf and dirt filled ditch and just fly across grass and stuff is pretty darn exciting!!![8D]

The Revo isn't really made for jumping, but put a wing on the back and you'll see a major improvement in the air.

designed more for racing than jumping. not to say it can't handle it. it's a tough truck

LOL thats what I was thinking, so if it isn't made for jumping how can it be made for racing if you can't jump it.

Not made for jumping? Are you kidding. Made for racing. What do you think tracks have. Little bumps. No they have table tops, doubles, tripples etc... The revo jumps just fine. If you cant jump a revo then you cant drive. Its all in the throttle and brake control. If I can jump a savage 4-5 ft in the air and land on all 4 you should have no problem jumping the revo.

I agree with this except for the "If you can't jump you can't drive"thing. I can drive I just can't jump YET!![8D]

i never said it couldn't jump, did i? but the way i see it, the lower center of gravity on the revo isn't made for the kind of big jumping i do. it's an excellent truck and fun to drive.

sorry guys, i didn't mean to offend anyone.

No you did not offend anyone at all buddy. From what I hear and read about the Revo is that you need to learn how to TAKEOFF, FLY, and LAND your Revo and not just jump it!!

Well, you said it WAS'NT MADE FOR JUMPING. I am sure it's not made to justdrive around back and forth. That would be boring.

Default RE: Update!!!!

After owning a Savage X then moving to the revo, I noticed a huge difference in landing the jumps and I am talking about big jumps nothing small. The Savage would bounce after landing and usually if not totally perfect landing it would bounce over on its lid. The shocks that come with the Savage X in my opinion junk, no adjustability. Moving to the revo, I was very impressed. Even jumps that were way off my Savage's ability to land, the revo would just absorb them and stay on track. I am sure there is alot to the reasons why my Savage had so much trouble and with money and time spent I could of fixed it up. I know I am not alone; just watch some vids on youtube..others have the same problems in stock form. I am sure the low center of gravity, suspension set up and extended chassis all contribite to help the revo land jumps under control.
