I tried but the search on here is horrible. How tight should I make my spur gear? All the way tight and one turn out?

RE: T-Maxx Spur Gear Question
Is it possible that you have something binding the drive train. We were talking about this today at the lhs. If you get a rock or something stuck between the gears its gunna damage something one way or the other. Since spur gears are usually plastic they are the first to go . On a side note i was always taught to use a paper meshing system to set the gear mesh. To this day i havent gotten it right.
Is there someone else that can offer info on steel spur gears and bell housings.
