Brakes
Can someone post a close up picture of the brake system.
I took the t-maxx apart to clean all the parts and then put it back together. Everything is fine except it doesn't brake anymore.
I don't understand how the brakes work. I see the 2 plates and the little gold thing that pushes it together, but how do I get the little gold piece to move.
The metal stick connected to the servo doesn't push the brake.
Thank You

RE: Brakes
dont have pics at the moment, but theres a Blue shaft that goes in behind the gold peice and stick up towards the top of the tranny, then a small little steel rod with a hole in it goes on the end of that, which is what your peice from the servo attaches too.

RE: Brakes
ok i see what you are talking about.
How much play should the metal plate on each side of the brake have?
I have to room to press the brake, the neutral position is the farthest the brake goes.
So i'm thinking either some more play on the metal plate, or try and turn the metal knob on the end of the rod on the servo's end. How do you guys turn it, its really hard.
Thank You
p.s. I got the 2.5

RE: Brakes
you may need to tighten the bolts that hold the plates to the tranny?
this will make the brakes tighter. should only be a small amount of room in there,, also,, using springs from a ball point pen work well, here's a helpfull link:
