Just the motor itself? The only diffrence between the 2 is that one has a blue anodized head thats a little bigger.. Thats the only diffrence.

I got a .25 for it and then desided that I wanted to race so I need to find something I can trade it for that would be a drop in replacement

You mean 2.5.. Look into a 3.3. Its a drop in and will have WAAYYY more power. You can still race with the 2.5 but it doesn't compare to some of theother motor's you can get. If its a big track then your gonna need a bigger motor. If its a smaller track then you might be able to get away with it if you gear it low.

many many people, incuding the pros, race with the 3.3. just break it in right and learn to tune and you will have a great little motor that will last a while.

Hey guys, Blink!!!! What he said was he bought a .25 (notice the period in front of the 25 not in the middle). That seems like it would be to much motor for the Revo. I just got my 3.3 and it hauls butt... Try to find a 3.3 or if you do indeed have the 2.5 and my eyesight is going use Traxxas Lifetime Engine Replacement deal a new 3.3 will run you like $110.00 plus its a drop in. have heard the big block kit is a pain in the butt with linkage issues not getting full throttle throw etc... Just my 2 cents worth. Love my Revo it kicks butt now I know what you Revo guys were talking about. But will never give up the Maxx..
