Default 17mm Hex Conversion

what are some of the benefits from going from stock to 17mm hexes on my Tmaxx. Who do you recommend.

By upgrading to a 17mm hex, you can choose from a ton of aftermarket rims. I would suggest the Traxxas 17mm splined hexes. I have them on both my nitro and E-Revo. Just make sure to throw a little blue loctite on the main nuts and you'll be good to go.

I went with proline 23mm hex hubs. Strong and can handle the power of an aftermarket engine that you might install some day.
I'm not taking anything away from Traxxas and their 17mm by the way but I like the 23's.

for something easy i suggest the hpi alloy hex hubs and nuts(very cheap and good!) they are the stock pieces on the savage xl.

And about the benefits of the conversion. with an aftermarket or modded motor you are more likely to strip either the plastic wheels or hubs. a bigger diamter increases durability
