Default Some updates on my modded 2.5 npede.

First things first:
I apologize to EVERYBODY for calling some people idiots in my last thread. While I still think the tmaxx is good and is getting unfaily bashed, I will try to stay out of these discussions. So, if anyone is mad at me here, let's just drop it and move on ok? There is no point in argueing over toy cars.

Here's what I had on my npede before:
Trx 2.5R engine
Proline masher 2Ks
RPM A-arms on all fours
Traxxas big bores on all four corners
RPM front bumper
Venom on board smart temp/failsafe which has issues at the moment.
Hitec standerd servos on the throttle and steering
Jato whellie bar modified to fit
Rusty fuel tank for low CG
Ofna blue servo saver on the steering
RPM head guard

The latest I have done to my npede:

I put in some RD racing front aluminum C-hubs which look sweet.
I also managed to get lunsford ti hingpin set. The stock hing-pins look like pretzles when I took them out.[X(]
Got some RPM revolver wheels and dyed them black. Looks sick.
I have an RD racing aluminum rear shock tower which I don't really like. It tranfers too much pressure to the bulkhead. I got a good deal on it because it was discontuned.
1/8 buggy filter.
Not shown in the pics, but I also have a 5-cell flat pack mounted to the undside of the chassis.
Pama body to top it all off.

What I still want to to:

Make a steel idler to go in the tranny because I keep stripping the stock plastic one. I can't believe that traxxas never came out with one.[:@]

Bullitproof the stock driveshafts using traxxas steel output yokes and new era driveshaft retainers.

Some other aluminum goodies here and there depending on how much $$$ I want to spend.

It is a pretty sweet little truck now. The power is incredible with that 2.5R onboard.

I wonder what it would be like if I dropped in a picco .26 red dot.[>:]

Are you talking about a spur gear here? I'm not sure what an idler is, does'nt sound familiar to me. If it is the spur gear or like I suggest you set the mesh correctly and make sure the clutch bell is'nt getting too hot due to the clutch itself becouse putting metal in there. If it's a part other than what I'm thinking then scratch the above suggestions.

No, I mean the a gear inside the tranny. There is three(classic 2WD tranny) gears instde the trans. The top gear and shaft which the spur gear is on, the idler gear, and the diff. The idler is tiny, only 20T. Combine this with plastic makes for a very weak trans.
