RE: work stands
grab a $2 stick of small PVC, some Tee's and some elbows and just play around, dry fit before gluing and you should be good to go... the only other things needed are any glue, and a hack saw or any other kind of saw...

RE: work stands
i cut a 2x4 in 3 pieces about a foot and half long and screwed them all together.. it works great, and for it being upside down, i just prop it against the stand, works good for me!!!

RE: work stands
I have 2 of the Y-Factor stand from Extreme Standz. Worth every penny IMO. You can put a Revo upside down in the stand no problem.

Cool man!!! I like that one that u have!!! Where did u get it from? Only reason I ask is cause I may have to look into getting the same one as I like how it can spin in either direction and u can lower and raise it pretty easily....[8D][8D]
Or if you're not a welder you can get the stuff you need from any Home Depot/Lowes in the plumbing dept. Just use iron pipe and you can get mounting bases and pipe that will just screw togeather - you will still need to drill and tap a hole for the hieght adjusting screw though.
Material costs will be well under $20 and assembly time probably no more than a couple of hours.
Edit:
You colud also look around and find something (or make something) that will allow the top plate to articulate to let you turn it at different angles (you know, so you could tilt the truck toward you) to make it wasier to work on from a sitting position. On that one you'll have to stand over it to work, which might be somewhat inconvient to reach/work on at times

Well, I will have to consider that before I make a decision on whether o or not to make one myself, or look for one that is already assembled and put together....

Yep, chopp; I too like ur stand!!! but like one of the others mentioned; if u or someone else could put together some blueprints or something for one that would be great!!! because then we/I would at least have that to follow....let me and anyone else who wants to know, if someone can somehow make up some blueprints or diagrams of some sort to make one....[8D][8D]

Now that is a stand!!!!!!
Very nicely done, profesional looking even. Very versitile and articulates seven-ways-from-Sunday and I'd bet folds to nearly nothing for transport too. Hands down one of the best stands I've seen in all the time I've been on RCU.
Unfortunatly, It's beyond the ability and means of about 98% of the people on this forum. Still, I'd bet you could sell a few - if it's not so labor intensive as to make it impracticle.
