I am looking at this truck for $50.00. I have pretty much mastered our electric truck, & would like to get into nitro.
I am willing to work on one, & do not want to wrap up very much money.

How much would it cost for a new stock tranny, or parts to rebuild old one?
-
Also does anyone know how fast the t-maxx 1.5 will go?

As long as u are willing to, and have the patientence to work on a nitro powered truck, then I say u should go for it!!! As for the tranny, u probably just need to yank that sucker outta there and replace anything that is bad/worn or otherwise in disrepair inside the trans and go from there...but the one thing I am wondering is how do u know there is nothing else wrong with it??

I have to take the owners word, that there is nothing else wrong with it. I just priced the engine, is 100.00. so probbaly cant loose to much for 50.00

You can get a full tranny on ebay for like $30 brand new. Steering servos will cost you a little more and I recommend using a HiTec 645MG. As for speed I would guess maybe 30ish MPH. Just a guess though!

Also where can I find painted bodies? I prefer Dodge vehicles, but will consider all. I just dont want to paint my own.
