Default VQ models

Just found out that VQ models is going to sell direct to the modeler at http://www.vqmodelaircraft.com/access.html.
Note the new prices and products.

George:

Your link is "Broke." Use this one:

http://www.vqmodelaircraft.com/

That $650 forthe P-38 beats the pooh out of the $1000 Morris was charging. And the A-26 for $300. I'm tempted.

Do any of you have any experience with the VQ models? I noticed that they have a pretty decent looking P-40 arf as well as the only P-51B arf that I have ever seen. They both look like planes that REALLY need to occupy my den.

BK:

Twinman has done both the P-38 and the A-26.

You can find the A-26 writeup on the VQ site, don't know where the P-38 review is.

George?

Sorry, but I really thought by this time you would have stirred your lazy tail and put the P-38 together.

I guess it just shows how you can misjudge some people.

Haw.

Glad I don't have to do that any more. Work for a living, I mean.

I just went to the VQ site and they are posting the assembly instructions for their P-40. If you are the typical modeler and don't like to read, you will love their instructions. Mostly pictures and little wording, but I had little trouble building the A-26.
Good Luck,
Twinman

Twinman and William, thanks both of you for the information. As much as I gripe (to myself mostly) about some of the differences in this new site, I love how I can ask a question in the morning and have plenty of answers by the afternoon. Oh, and William, I hate you (referring to you not having to work for a living anymore. I just got a financial statement in the mail last night that said that my "projected" retirement year is 2042. That's just WRONG )

I will ass-u-me that is what I call the "Italian Salute."

An up and down wave of the hand, but with the hand formed into a fist and one finger extended vertically, a cheerily spoken "North America" to go with it. Or was that "Upper US" that he said?

Haw.

Just looked at the VQ website at http://www.vqmodelaircraft.com/aircraft.html and they have cut the prices around 5% across the board........the P-38 now $584.99 and others down 5%. Not sure what is going on, but life is good.

Hey Bill, you were interested in the A-26 at $300 now $270 you need it.....particularly if you are not working as the rest of us poor slobs!!!!

I would only venture to guess that their expected sales are down so they are lowering their price....
VQ kits' covering leave a lot to be desired, very heavy!
The two kits I had had a very weak spar in the Horiz. stab....
These are my guesses and personal observations.

And next week it might be down to $220. If it is I'll jump on it.

And George, I work very hard. You can not imagine how hard it is to go flying, patch bARFs that I get careless with, pull maintenance on the twins and build more, and among all these terribly hard jobs I have to stop to eat and sleep.

A very hard job I'm going to have to do in the next few days is stroke a check for the radials to go in the new F7F. The hard part isn't actually writing the check, of course. But think. How many turbines could I buy for that money? And how many VQ A-26 kits?

Haw.

Feel jealous, you wage slaves!

Bill.
