Default Pica Duelist 2/40

I just obtained a pica duelist with 46 FX's. He had the plans but couldn't locate the manual.. Can anyone give me the control settings.

Thanks Gil

I set them with as much control as I can get, but it depends on your ability to fly, you don't have to use it all, but it is nice to have.

I have a disc at home with the manual on it. I can look when I get there or you can go to the super duellist forum and have them send you the disc. I think it costs about $4.

Email me if you can't find it and I will look it up for you.

Just found it here, ailerons 1/2 inch each way, elevator 3/4 each way. Don't see anything on the rudder, but I would think you would want as much as you can get there.

If you loose an engine on it, throttle back on the other or you will end up on your back, especially if you are slow.

Have you flown a twin? They are fun.

Default Rudder Throw

Manual recommends full throw for the rudder.

Gil: (and Flyboy Ed)

We never sold the CD qith instructions for the Super Duellist, I had the complete manual posted in my gallery. With the "New" RCU the gallery is not yet implemented, so the manual is currently off line.

Gil, if you would like, I can email the whole thing to you, it's gigantic, raw scans, some 35 pages as I remember. You will have to be copying to a file as I send it to you, or we'll have to do it in three or four sesions.

Let me know if you want it.

Bill.

The CD I got is for the reg duellist, sorry, It also has some of the SD stuff on it, or maybe that was just on my hard disc from what you sent me Bill.

Either way, Good stuff!

Thanks fellas for the information... I'll let everyone know how the first flight goes. I spoke to John at PICA. He said that he had actually taken the duelist off with just one engine. Had a pair of 40's. I haven't flown an rc twin as yet, but I do read the comments from time to time so I knew that my fellow rc pilots would have the info...

Thanks to all...

He's not the only one. I had an engine quit due to a prop strike from hitting a bump just as my 2/40 rotated. I didn't have any runway left to abort the landing, so kept it straight with a shallow climb, sucked up the gear, and once at a safe 50' proceeded to do a slow turn to downwind, and a slow turn to final. Once lined up and commited to the runway, I chopped power, lowered the gear and deadsticked it in. No damage.

Power was a couple of Webra speed .40's with tuned mufflers and 9x8 props. I loved that bird!
