Top Flight DC-3/C-47
I have read through the posts on this site as well as RCscalebuilder on the flight charactoristics and engine choice for this plane. Several of the guys on their madden flight have used to much power on take off and the result has been a torque roll to the left into a cartwheel. I would like to know what you all think about using OS 25 FX 2 stroke engines in this plane. Also, if someone has a video of their C-47 in action, that would be great as well.

I never had any problem with torque on take off. I had .40 2 strokes on mine which seemed like way too much power to me though. It flew like a pylon racer. I lost mine to an engine flame out at low power and it rolled over and died before I could react. I should have pulled the throttle back on the remaining engine to tame the stall and get it flying again.
I still have the back portion of my fuse but my wing is toast. I'm planning to rebuild it and plan to put .26 4 strokes on it this time. It flies good on the wing and was easy to land. My only problem with take offs was that the engines didn't come up to speed equally and it would yaw more than the rudder could compensate for.
I want mine to fly a lot slower closer to full throttle and it should be a good bit lighter this time.

The designer of the aircraft describes testing with a pair of OS .25FP engines. It came off the runway after a very short takeoff roll at 3/4 throttle.

That's a great article, thanks for posting it. I see they also tested the model with .26 4 strokes and while they said this is the smallest engines they would recommend, it did fly well. Since that's exactly what I'm planning to do on my rebuild, I'm glad to see the concept has already been confirmed.

I have the Marutaka DC-3 powered with two OS .26 four strokes swinging custom made 10x5, 3-blade carbon, scale Hamilton standard props, and I can assure you that if you build it light (mine weights 3,6kg) two OS .26 will be plenty of power. Mine takes of in just 25m at full throttle and most flying is done below half throttle.
The DC-3 flies as gentle as a 2m sailplane and can nerly stand still in the air. Snap roll tendenzies doesn't exist at all.
