Shouldn't turn into dead engine.
ORIGINAL: Hotrcair
A member of our club had one, I say had one. Engine out and it would not turn into the dead engine, It was powered with OS 55 2 strokes. bad crash.

Flyboy, sounds like you have had a bad experience with a real 310. It seems to me that twin cessnas are maintence hogs but the new top flight model is a good design.

Hey all!!!!
My Family ( mainly my dad) used to own a cessna 310 fullsize Rego VH-HGO... Beautifull aircraft and have many hours myself at the controls, really looking forward to purchasing this model. Only one thing Its based around Q model............ And ask any pilot or people that know about the "R" model everyone perferr's the look of the "R" ... The only differnece being the longer nose. So my question to you guys if anyone has one built etc etc etc is how difficult do you belive it would be to convert it to an "R" model by grafting on a longer fibreglass nose??
Any ideas anyone???
Would love to hear from you all with your opionions and thoughts..
Michael
Soon to be a topflite 310 owner! ( can't wait... only finances are a question after i finished getting my turbine jet of the ground last month!!! expensive exercise it is but it well worth it, flying great!)

Deadeye, I think I will be in Minnesota then. I am going to try to hook up with minnflyer if I get there.
orvel, it has magnum engines and apc props. I would have gone with a different engine but I bought it from a friend that put it together and flew it once. I just hope I never lose one on take off. that would be way too close to home! Its a sharp plane, has all the lights and everything. Sweet!
