If you want an advice, DON'T use the hardware supply in the kit, I bought the tigercat from kpm
and the hardware supply, like the hinges, screws, rods are really bad, all the screws
I used, broke when I unscrewed it and if you want trouble free with the retracts use a Robart valve

I'll be using mostly digital Hitec servo's in mine so the servo travel will be adjustable for each.

Any proportional servo can have the servo travel adjusted regardless if its digital or not.

I understand that but when ganged together (four flap servo's) you need a match box or the ability to adjust each individually with a programmer, or perhaps one of the high dollar radio's that allow setting travel limits for multiple servo's on a single channel.

In post 100 I was just stateing an alternative to using a match box. I am fully aware that a match box would solve the problem. Great looking build PA757.

Ok. Great. I was just commenting on how you worded it then since you said:
Your above statement strongly implies that only digital servos are adjustable. I just wanted to make sure ppl reading the thread didnt misunderstand and were aware that any proportional servo can be adjustable. Using the radio programming to adjust each servo is of course easily done as long as enough channels are available for each separate servo. Now.....there are some servos you can program using an interface device. If that is what you meant, it didnt come across in your text, however, those type of servos are not at all in the low to medium price point.

As an aside, the "Matchbox" option also allows the flap servos to run a separate battery supply, which isn't a bad idea with so many servos in a model like this. Means you're less likely to pull excess current through the receiver and its power supply, switch etc when flaps are deployed.

Andrew,
Can you provide us with the paint color info for this model? After I glue the blisters on the cowl I'd like to touch up the white edges and repaint the bottom ones to match the light green of the belly.

take the piece(s) with the color you want to home depot and they will color match it for you. i did that with the bottom of my KMP ME-109 and the color from homedepot was a 100% match. I also did it for a H9 Spitfire and it came out ok...but they had to do a 2nd scan of the part. They will do 3 separate scans and color mixing to get it right if necessary, but 99% of the time, the first run is correct. You only have to buy the one you want, and they'll put the other mixed colors on the bargain tray.

Ummm lol....a lot more then an ounce.....but....last I remember, the KMP paint colors were not cheap...so it might end up being cheaper to just get a quart of what you need at HD. Think I paid like $11 for a quart of the color matched RLM76 german light blue. Nice thing about ahvign extra is you can touch up the paint after hangar rash or other mishaps.

Here's an idea. How about if KMP buys a couple gallons of the correct mix fuel proof paint, puts it in 3 oz containers and sells both colors in a kit for some price. I'd pay maybe $10.00 for such an option. Beats running around town looking for the right mix.

In the past we charged in the $10-15 range for 3-5 OZ. (not sure the exact size of our bottles) The paint we use for color match is from an automotive shop that carries the SMC brand. Its flexible and dries flat and considered very high quality paint.

RE: NEW KMP 95" B-25
Well, it's time I jump in here....
SRush & I are well on our way with this new Gen B-25 and, I've got to say KMP has SURE come a long way since the Tigercat. That thing was the build from hell (but the flying qualities are worth the hassles in the end!!!), but so far, this B-25 is tons better.
I am, of course, changing a few things to suit my OWN tastes, such as carving a new GUN Nose instead of staying with the stock version, but other than a couple little items (was anyone else missing the inboard wing spars???) there's not much to really "fix" yet.
I'll be using FUJI 24's for power. All digital Hitec servo's and 2.4Gig 9C
Andrew - I appreciate you listening to us modelers about what rubs us the wrong way and fixing it if possible - even if it takes till the next Gen to get it right.
I'm still waiting on you to ask for my 103" F-82 plans so we can ALL have one - Black or Silver - either way!!!!!!!!

I called Paul at KMP and he mentioned that after the entire shipment of these B-25's were boxed (but not yet shipped from the factory), they found a certain number of spars that were inadvertently left out of the packages.
Easiest way to deal with that scenario was for them to ship the spars along with all the sealed boxes and wait for customers to mention they were missing.
Paul quickly sent us our missing spar sets...

RE: NEW KMP 95" B-25
I have a video of a H9 B-25 losing an engine(right side) and then after the pilot got impatient(his own words), he tried a right hand bank to get the plane to turn as it wasn't turning much to the left with almost full rudder. You will see what happens if you turn INTO the dead engine. Note...do NOT do that. I saw the plane actually trying to turn left at first(you can tell this in the video) and had the pilot simply stuck with it, it probably would have came around. Another thing to do would have been to throttle DOWN the running engine to lessen the force factor trying to push the plane to the right. It makes controlling the plane a lot easier. He was already on the down wind leg, so had he cut the motor to idle, he still probably could have glided around the left bank turn(shallow type) and get it close if not all the way back to the runway.
However, i cannot say much...cuz when your the pilot and something like this happens to you, unless you've seen it first hand, you usually do what comes first to mind. In this case, the pilot's first reaction after not seeing it turn left fast enough(and possibly panicking cuz he thought it might just continue going straight ahead over the highway) he chose to try a right hand bank. So...as some of you may be aware...dont turn into the dead engine unless you throttle down or are absolutely sure you have MORE then enough rudder. Advise not doing so though

RE: NEW KMP 95" B-25
I bought the pilot figures online from KMP website! I've seen them in the hobby shop also!
Working on the B25 this week and will send some pictures! I got the wing together and noticed that one engine is not aligned, cylinders facing to the right, with the other. Looks like its about 5 degrees off! It also looks like the centerline on the left engine is a little off!
Any comments?
