Default Nitroplanes Skymaster 337

I've been looking for a twin engine plane to build over the winter.
The Nitroplanes Skymaster 337 looks like something that will fit my budget. However, I noticed that this plane does not have rudder control. I fly tail draggers and trike landing gear. About 1 year experience. I would like some advice from someone who has this plane.
I would probably power it with Saito .62s since I already have one on the shelf. And I really like 4 strokes.

Is there someone here who has built and flown this plane?

If you want THIS plane and you want rudders, install them.
Install a rudder servo in the bottom of the wing near one of the booms, run a push-rod too a rudder and join the rudders with another push-rod, nothin to it.

I don't have this plane, but know someone who does, and have seen it fly. It looks good and flies well. The engine configuration (when both are running) counters any yaw nicely, so you really don't need rudders. I probably would install them anyway, but that is just me ("stick and rudder" is hard without rudder), it is fine without them.

Carlos,
These are static rudders. There is no control surface or hinges. Are you suggesting I cut the rudders and then hinge the piece back on?

Yes, exactly, cut them off and hinge them back on and if they appear to be too small, make your own only a bit larger.

Really, why not fly the thing first. You may not see the need to go through all that. I have seen this plane fly as it is designed with no issues whatsoever. Retrofitting rudders sounds easy till you get to matching the paint, and making them look factory. Can be done of course, but is it worth it to you? Maybe not. Have fun.

I'm not a super skilled modeler. I do enjoy spending time on the bench but I don't want to create more problems than I need.
I think I might take the advice of ram3500 and see how it handles before I screw up the back of this plane.
My question was about handling and responsiveness from someone who has flown this model.

Thanks ram3500 for your response.
Lets see if I get more reviews from pilots of this plane.

BTW: On the nitroplanes website a photo of the parts shows 2 different size fuel tanks. Could this be so? Why would it be so?
Does anyone know what size these fuel tanks are?

You mentioned that you have a friend who has this plane (Skymaster 337 by Nitroplanes).

Before I commit to buy I would like to know how wide the plane is when the wing extensions are removed. I need to know this for transportation.
I have tried to contact Nitroplanes with no response. There is a guy named Andy who represents the company on www.rcdiscuss.com but rarely responds to forum questions. I wonder if this is a sign that the company is a little weak on support.
I wonder what your friend's experience is with Nitroplanes? And can he get a measurement for me?

Thanks!
