Sorry, Walter3rd, but I don't recall the motor thrust settings, as I had an engineering friend in Germany set them for me using the tools he used on his engines and I don't seem to have the manual anymore. Have you done an internet search? I did that looking for the control throws on another plane and found what I wanted.

She looks a lot like an ME-262 Messerschmidt, only with props. A little suggestion, you might want to consider making access to the nacelles to get to your motor mounts and linkage if you hadn't already. I found that after the fact, I needed to make an adjustment and didn't account for the room to do so. So I had to create a way to get to each nacelle and allow enough access to the throttle arm to access the motor mounts. Also, I made an access panel on each side of the nose gear to be able to get to the L/G mount bolts if needed.

i just installed 1 or of the power 32 motors and it fits great! removed 1.5 inches from the front of the nacelle and i think its going to work great. still need the prop and spinner before i can get the nice shape of the nose going. the access panel for retracts is a good idea and i think i might need the access just to get them installed as well. tons of room for the esc but the batts are going to be the biggest fit challenge aside from the retracts. really happy to see one motor in its home. looking nice. excited to see the final shape with the spinner and 3 blade installed. walt

OK, with electrics, that makes things interesting. I forgot that part. I'm running 2-OS 46's. I would like to know how that goes, as it changes everything in the motor compartment as far as access space, balance and thrust angles, I would imagine, not to mention weight and balance of the plane. I found the only place for my battery pack is behind the wing after the servos, wiring, air tank and air lines for retracts all go under the cockpit floor and above the wing. Not much room left over for the battery pack.

please advise as to whether this plane can fly well with standard rotation props or does it require counter rotating?? don't want a bad maiden... what are others doing??? i love this plane too much to kill her on maiden day.

Mine is over 10 years old with many flights on standard rotation engines/props. It flies just fine on a pair of OS 46's.
Just be sure your power source's are absolutely reliable.

fantastic guys! i wanted to keep her as is. i got a warning phone call from a guy at our field who said it was going to be a handful and pull hard to one side requiring crazy rudder to fly straight. maybe that's the case for some twins. glad you guys say im fine with the duallist. im running power 32 4s electric set up on mine. these motors are known as reliable. thanks, Walt

You will learn to use rudder, especially if your engines come up to speed unequally. However, in my experience, the duelist is a fast airplane and flies dead straight when up to speed. I have had several singles that need more rudder on takeoff and in flight

Hello Gentleman...... Very happy to see this thread continuing. I just found a kit on RCG and will be here Monday. Following threw this thread I found great information. I really like Roadtrips thread w/ pictures and play by play on his build.
This is not my 1st Duelist.... My first was a ARF and was beautiful. A few nice flights until I lost a motor and lost the entire plane. With winter here I deceided to build one.
This one will be Electric. My question is has anyone built one? Will a 6 cell battery fit in the Fuse along w/ airtank and servo's.
If anyone has any information could you please pass it on to me?
Thanks Guys
Hoss
