Default Efficient/Powerful mix?

I'm using an AXI 2208/34 with the HL EVP setup....Electrifly 640mAh, 3s1p batt

getting it to work pretty well...but very short flight times....\

Curious how others are setting their mix curves??

Do you set for more RPM's and less pitch, or more pitch with a bit less RPM's

I'm trying to find a balance, just curious what P-curves and T-curves people are using..

I'm using a 9C radio with the Governor mode (Norm, Idle 1, etc)

Inverted Torque rolls sure get their attention at the field!

Default RE: Efficient/Powerful mix?

Hi there,

My setup depends on whether I am flying in a small gym or larger dome/outside. In the smaller venues I setup a much more agressive pitch curve to quicken up the transistion between + and - power (but pretty much never hit full tilt on either end while I am flying). If I am outside and not really bringing it down low Ill opt for something less demanding on the motor/batteries.

I use two different conditions (nl and idle-up). In the normal mode I run a fixed pitch and linear throttle curve. In an idle-up mode I run two different fixed pitches with a rather sharp, quick transition between the two somewhere near, or slightly less than half stick. In the idle-up mode my throttle curve is something like the following: 100, 70, 20, 60, 100. Of course youve got to fine tune for your particular likes and model type. So overall I would say I opt for more pitch and the expense of rpm's and current.

With your current setup you should be getting 5 minutes of excellent power in both directions on a Shockflyer size model.

Thanks...
maybe my airframe is too big...
HL Yak-55.. it works well, inverted torque rolls, complete reverse, etc. etc. but short flights... but now that I think about it, I think I am getting 4 or 5 minutes..... I guess that is close to normal for these setups...
I was just used to 8 to 10 minutes or more with normal setup.....

Thanks again

Hello,
To much pitch positive and negative will drain the battery like water on your fingers. For me, Flight time between 4 to 4.30 min. with 15 full reverse 3 sec e/a and 15 full positive at least.
In normal mode between 5 to 7 min. 730mA 3 LiPo

I published a message tittled EVP/Animal where I talked about my experiences.

Regards to all,
Ricardo.
