Default Schwimmwagen

There is a 1:16 vehicle listed on Ebay with this titile: Eduard 1/16 Schwimmwagen WWII German Amphibious Car

I want to get one to build as a model for the battlefield (not attempting RC), but I was wondering if anyone else had built it. I would hate to repeat my fiasco with that supposedly 1:16 Bulldog that I bought a few years back, which was not the correct scale and was poorly made. I realise that I am in the tank forum and that this is not a tank, but you guys are my only contacts for WWII scale models and I do not know who else to ask. [sm=angel_smile.gif]

Anyone every tried this kit?

A buddy of mine has one. The kit is resin and is a far cry from the Glencoe Bulldog, that I too made the mistake in buying.

But mine only cost $10.00 though.

I would have had no problem with this being in the main forum, to me it goes hand in hand with the other content (as in its a real war vehicle... that existed!)

Interesting kit, heres a nice [link=http://hsfeatures.com/features04/schwimmwagenjl_1.htm]link[/link] [8D]

Shamefully, that makes me feel better. So, I take it that this resin kit is worth the money? Or maybe just a $10.00 price tag. [sm=50_50.gif]

I think Tamiya had a RC version of that or some something similar to it. It was 1:16 scale too.

Would love to have a Schwimmwagen. I think they were very cool. An Rc one would be even better. I wonder how you would water-proof the electronics section?
