Default System not working.

Hi Guys

My Tx module fails when I move/rotate it, I think there maybe a problem with one of the connections, all the led's illuminate and the link to the Rx is lost.

Fortunately I found this just before I was due to fly my Bobcat jet but I had to then spend some hours changing back to my reliable Mpx 35Mhz gear.

Not the ideal introduction to 2.4!!

Regards

Rob.

I know the Weatronic is supposed to be the dogs doh dahs, but it seems to me its more trouble than its worth, too many people having issues with the latest batch for my liking, I will stick to my FASST at the moment which has worked spot on from day one.

Rob,
I feel your pain, and to be honest, I'm a little worried by the lack of response from Germany !
I have emailed them a couple of times regarding questions on the new 2.4 GHz systems (bought one 12-22 and two 12 channel receivers at JetPower), but I have NOT heard a single word in return from them !!
I have a fleet of 8 jets here, and some 30 and 50% propplanes that is in a need for 2.4GHz, but I'm beginning to wonder if it is wise to go with the Weatronic ????

I have really enjoyed by Weatronic system and have had very good support from Gerhard in Oregon.

I have been looking forward to the 2.4 release but this lack of support is awfully discouraging.

I wish they could support this as well as Horizon/Spektrum/JR...

Hi Robrow,
I am sorry for the experience you are going through. I agree, that it is not right. I am also writing an email to Germany about this. I know they are not doing it on purpose and I am not trying to justify anything.
They have been busy for preparation and currently swamped with the aftermath of Jetpower and the announcement of Graupner to implement Weatronic. My hopes are high that this will fuel them to be able to get more people trained and a better support going in Germany. On top of that they also had to change the Web Server which in its own can be a challenge. Time is the enemy and with the current economy - worldwide things have not been easy for them as well.
Please be patient and I am sure that in the long run, things will be fine.
I am hanging in there with nothing to sell at this moment as well. I have a few systems to try out and do documentation on etc and to be able to talk with some competence.
But I do know that this is the future and I am even having high hopes that one day we will have our own transmitter as well. Later this year they will also have even smaller receivers that will work for foamies and other small aircraft. This will then be the icing on the cake and will sway many other to try Weatronic. There are good things coming. hang in there.

Thanks for listening,

Gerhard

Hi cgroen,
I am also having a hard time getting emails from them. I know that they sent me some emails and I did not get them. So there is a problem with their server system. Maybe I can help in the mean time getting you some answers to questions you have. You can email me at [email protected] . I will do my best,

Gerhard

Thanks Gerhard,
much appreciated
The questions I had was mostly regarding the MPDX-10 support, it is written on the feature sheet for the "Big" receivers that it is supported, but at JetPower Alvin was like one big question mark when I asked about it (I had previously emailed Germany about it, also no answer). It is not mentioned in any of the manuals, so I will have to find out myself, in a not too far future I will get the 12-22 connected, and be playing around with it

Hi Carsten,
Thanks for the reply, When you get to know whether or not it works and what the limitations might be, I'd be interested in getting to know the results.

Thanks,

Gerhard

Thanks for your support Gerhard, from what I understand it is a simple patch cable replacement/update that I need. Hopefully they will manage to find the time to send it me along with my Tx module plus micro 12 channel Tx.

Hi Gerhard

Did you have any success in communication with Germany? Did they acknowledge?

Regards

Hi Gerhard,
I did not find any support whatsoever for the Multiprop feature!
IF the text on the datasheet for the big receivers points to the support for MPDX-10 module, someone else has to test it, I have no MPDX modules here, and honestly I think it's irrelevant if it works or not, whats the idea of using a nice "powerbox type" receiver as the 12-22 and then attaching a box with tiny wires, and no power redundancy etc as all the servo ports gives you on the 12-22 ???
I'm puzzled why they didn't simply add the Multiprop support inside the receiver, they must clearly be able to do the same decoding internally in software as the MPDX is doing inside !

I flew with the Micro 12 and my 14MZ yesterday, data is in Olivers (olnico) thread about the "Weatronic RF tool"

But so far, the biggest problem is the total silence from Germany, I REALLY hope Rob is soon getting some response !!

Hi Rob,
I talked to Axel and he will contact you after he has found what is going on at his side. The change of the server has disrupted a lot of email traffic that I am also having a lot of difficulties. I have lots of emails lost as well.

Thanks for your patience,

Gerhard

Hi Rob,
I got an email from Axel, that he will send you a new system. There is no excuse for the delay and I know they are sorry that it took so long. It really is not their style. I know they are buried with other things as Graupner also committing to Weatronic. Also see [link=http://www.graupner.de/en/newsdetail/3def01d7-f911-4e1d-b570-bb54496eb188]here[/link].
But I am sure that you will like it a lot. I hope that one day, not too far away or soon, weatronic will be offering even smaller receivers for park fliers and also have an integrated transmitter, which will make issues like the one you had go away for good. Please hang in there and I will do my best to help to keep things going smooth.

Thanks again, Gerhard
