I have collected 90% of the items needed to complete my extra special. It will be a while before I get a chance to put it all together. I have followed this forum closely, and most of my decisions were made due to posts here. Thanks to all. Let me know if there are any questions comments or conserns on this setup.

Looks like you pretty well got it covered. The only thing I question is the need for a 24 oz. tank. I'm running a DA-50 and 20 oz. tank in my Edge, and only use 11 oz. in a 15 min. flight. I just finished up my Extra Special with a DA-50 also, and just put a 16 oz'er in it.

the 24 oz tank came as a package deal when i purchased the remains of a crashed wild hare edge. I might consider going to a 20 oz. How long can I fly with a BME 50 on the 24oz?

Bought the spinner right from Tru-Turn. Guy on here (cannot remember his name) polished it and anodized it for me. He has done a bunch of things for me over the past couple years (Landing gear & Spinners)..

on my original wild hare extra lx with a DA50 i could fly an easy 28 minutes
i know this because i went up for a flight and a freak rain storm hit and there was a corner of the sky that was blue so i stud under the club shelter and flew there till the rain stopped landed under power and had a few more oz s of fuel still in the tank the 4 people that was still there where laughing the ass's off
my friend flys his wh edge bme 50 with a 16 oz tank i dont know how long it would last but he flys at least 10 or 12 minutes before he lands

I couple years back I flew a BME-44 on a 3w G202 with a 16 oz. tank, in IMAC, always had plenty of gas left after two sequences but wouldn't go 3 times.

Rick,
An additional 8611 on the rudder should be more than enough. Are you using the SWB double lock arms? Some of the 8611's have shaft size variation the double lock arms make up for this.

brit,
You can find out all you need to know by looking at the Forgues Research links on http://www.aerografixs.com or by sending Mr. Forgues a question via e-mail. He will answer you quickly. Here is a picture of the fiber optic extension.
The power wire will connect to the ignition battery up in the front of the aircraft. Only the fiber optic signal line will go to the RX, therefore eliminating any chance of RF interferance from the ignition through the throttle or choke wires.

DA-50
CF landing gear
CF tail wheel
WH hardware kit
24oz tank for smoke
Slimline smoke pump
JR8611 rudder
5945's elevator, ailerons, throttle
225 choke
Fromeco 3x 2200mah w/ regs
Futaba 9ch PCM RX
19lbs dry, I might change out the two 24oz tanks, get a CF wingtube, lighter wheels and a CF spinner. Even at 19lbs the DA50 still will hover it
