Cross the rudder pull pull cables?

Definately run them straight, with the 3" servo arm from airwild the cables will align perfectly you do not want to cross them because of possible hang ups and in some cases with the the raw cables (there are some with a plastic coating) radio interference has been reported

I crossed mine. It makes no difference at all one way or the other. If you cross them all you have to do is put one of the top of the arm and the other on the bottom and they never rub nor touch. I see no advantage/disadvantage to doing it either way.

I crossed mine as well, moves the exit point further back in the fuse. I made a small mod for the elevator servos to get better linkage geometry so I also used the lower hole in the rudder hardpoint for the pull-pull arm which gave plenty of clearance between the bottom of the elevator servos and the exiting rudder cables. As was stated in the last post, all you have to do to eliminate and cable-cable interference at the X in the fuse is mount one cable on top of the 3" rudder arm and the other on the bottom. This gives about 1/4" between the cables with no worry of rubbing or touching. I have pics if my setup too if it would help, just let me know.

What size arm do you need to use and which slot does the servo need to be in for the cables to run straight? I was planning on using a 2.25" full size arm from SWB on a JR 8611.

There is no need to use kevlar thread for the cables, the standard Dubro wires as supplied by Tom work just fine. If you have already ordered kevlar, go ahead and use it. Kevlar will not add any measurable increase in performance, or additional durability.

sometimes curiosity doesn't kill the cat. according the the swb site, the straight geometry is the optimum. check it if you have not already...gives a great and logical explanation.
