CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH ONE OF YOUR PLANES WOULD BE THE BEST WITH A PERCISION EAGLE 4.2 I FLY 3D AND HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT YOUR GILES BUT AM CONCERNED IT WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH POWER FOR MY TYPE OF FLYING

I get this question about a dozen times a day. UNfortunately I cannot have detailed knowledge of every engine made or I'd be able to do nothing else. I can only estimate.
A Sach's based 4.2 should fly the Giles well but not spectacularly. I'd guess that it will be able to pull out of a hover but it may be struggling doing it. Everything else should be OK.

tom would it be possible to see the manuel online of the giles? I am thinking of getting it but i feel more comfortable by reading the instructions first.

I meant to get around to this one earlier, but forgot.
Though the Precision Eagle 4.2 is an excellent engine, it runs out of poop pulling aerobats above around 21 or 22 pounds. It will fly them, but not with authority. My opinion is that it would not hover the Giles. I have one of their 4.4 Huskys, and I know that it would not do the job either. It was working hard to IMAC a 33%, 23 pound 230.
