Default Mounting New Wheel Pants

Tom,

Ordered a new set of pants and gear from you. The pants look to be bit different with a wood triangle with three holes. I am guessing this is glued on the inside of the pant and then drill the three holes to the gear, attach with blind nuts on inside of wood?

Any input would be hlepful,

Thanks.

Just get some Sig wheel pant mounts. You'll need two sets (one for each side of the pant) on a model this big.

I like to put a peice of 1/8" ply inside the pant and attach to the gear with 2 4-40 screws and blind nuts just above the axle. Make sure to sand the inside of the pant where the wood gets glued with some 80 grit first and use a good guality epoxy. I will usually put a small dot of Shoo Goo between the pant and gear as well.
