I just want to thank everyone for all the threads here on RCU. A lot of good info comes and goes through here and it's up to us to use or reject it. I found most of the info very useful.
Here's my finished Edge and it will have to wait for the maiden. Hopefully we will have an early spring.

RE: 28% Edge
looks great good luck on you maiden flight!!!!
one thing I changed on mine was the 20oz fuel tank for a 16oz and still fly like 25 minutes out of it!!!!!
You don't need to carry that extra weight of fuel there!!!!

Charrua,
I had a 16oz tank in the plane already but changed it to a 20oz for the time being just in case it burned more because of the un-none. After timing the plane and making sure everything is alright I planned on installing the CF wing tube and landing gear and possibly some 4 inch light weight wheels. I had read that some guys are also using AA batteries for the ign. I might go to a 2100mah AA nickel 4 v battery after a while to save some more weight. I have a couple of them on hand. The sub C 1900mah weighs more than I thought it would. I could make use of the 1900 in some other plane. I will continue making changes 'till I get what I want. I also have a 120 size Edge with a Saito 180 waiting for a maiden flight and my wife wanted me to get a 40 size GP Cap 580 so just to be a nice guy, I caved in and bought one. That makes 3 planes I have to maiden this spring. No one said it was going to be easy. Bill

RE: 28% Edge
Sad part of it is, after you fly the Wild Hares, you are gonna be truely dissapointed in the little Cap. Not that they are bad flying planes but the sad fact is they fly like toys compared to your other planes. At the swap meet this spring I am going to try to unload everything I own that is 1.20 size & smaller. They just don't appeal to me any more. I used to keep 'em around to fly with some of the older guys but after they ask me why I didn't have the big planes I finally quit bringing the little stuff out to the field. Now they just hang in the workshop collecting dust.

I know what you mean. I've been going through the transition for several years. The planes just naturally keep getting bigger. I have an old 96" Extra that is a brick with wings. It flys good but definitely no 3D. I'm sure the WH is going to be my flag ship. Maybe the Bipe next year. Bill
