Default centering and hs-5625 / 5624

Hey Guys.

Does hs-5625mg have the same problems centering as the 5645s .
I have a 74" kangle cap 232 that i have been flying for about a year,to me it flies ok but i don't have a clue what a large scale plane should feel like.Because it's my first giant scale first gasser and i'm the only gasser and large scale pilot on the Island.I have been have a hard time getting this plane to do any 3d and have been trying to teach myself how to set up a model by learning from you guys at RCU.
I also just got a wild hare yak, which i wild be setting soon.

Question guys.

The Cap has.

5625 mg on the Elevator with 130 zo of torque and 14 sec speed at 6v
futaba s3010 on the aileron with 90 zo of torque and 16 sec speed at 6v.

Would it make any sense to switch these servo putting the 5625 on the ailerons and the 3010 on the elevator.Would it make the cap a better flying plane

Thanks Guys

I would leave it the way it is. Do you have a programmer for the Hitec's? If so there are some great instructional videos avalable to set up endpoints and centering. Goto

www.#d#o#w#o#n#t#h#d#e#c#k.com for the videos(remove the pound signs).

Lots of people have mentioned centering problems with the 56 series servos from Hitec. Personally, I haven't had any issues with them at all. I have the programmer & use it whenever mounting multiple servos in the same surface but as far as centering goes, that has never really been an issue for my stuff. I've had more of a problem with the mid-range Futaba digital stuff then the Hitec stuff. In the Yak, 5625's all around. You will be fine. Don't go any less though, the surface areas of the control surfaces are huge. It is gonna respond much faster then the Kankge Cap. Fly better too.

Thanks cstevec

I'm going to go with the 5925 or 5945 for the yak.Just in case i wanna move up in model size in the future.
What would you recommend for the yak,5925 or 5945 ,should i go for speed or torque, should use the same servo on all surfaces, rudder will get 5955

In my opinion the 5925's are almost too fast. I would go for the torque of 5945's. You can always buy new gear sets and convert 5945's to 5925's or vice versa.

The 5945's are almost as fast as the 5625's if both are ran on 6 volts. The Yak is a great flying plane but I chose not to use the higher priced servos in it due to its size. I saved them for the bigger stuff. As to speed, dntmn is right, the 5925's are wicked fast, I have them all around on my Wild Hare 260, except for the rudder. Wouldn't trade 'em. I like the response you get with the faster servo. In the Yak, you don't need 180 oz. on the surfaces & like he said, you can always change the gears if you put 'em in a bigger plane. I plan on flying planes until they are worn out so I buy for the plane at hand, not for the one I might get one day but I certainly understand the philosophy.

The rudder servo on the Yak does need to be pretty stout. Dang rudder is as big as a 30% plane. Using a weak servo here will show up in performance. In my 260 I have two Jr 8611's on the rudder. Figured there was no way a 33% plane needed that much power so I unhooked one of 'em. After one day of flying I hooked it back up. It was very noticable. I think the Yak could literally fly on its rudder it is so big so that servo needs to support the plane. 120 oz. on everything else will be fine, just maked sure they have a good gear train, no nylon or "Karbonite".

cstevec, So do you think the 5945's are over kill for the yak and she will do fine on the 5645's.
that would save me a few $$$$$.will i see a big difference with the more expensive servo's
As for the rudder i'll get the 5955's

5945's have plenty of torque but I think are a little over kill. If anything put the bigger servo on the rudder. You can use a standard or mini digi for throttle to save weight and $$$. The 5645's are plenty for a plane that size.

Save your money for the larger Wild Hares! They fly even better.

So i would go with 5645 all around, and go with the 5945 for the rudder, would be enough for a rudder that large.
also can you please recommend 2 mini digi for throttle and choke.

5645's would be great for the Yak, even the rudder. I think I have 5245's on throttle & choke is manual in mine.
