I got 5 flights on my new 33% 260 yesterday, couldnt have asked for a nicer day of 75 degrees and 0-5mph winds. First flight went fine, motor was way too rich so landed to retune. After I dragged the plane back to the pit area, I set down the tail and crack! The pete model carbon tail wheel just snapped and was toast, so figured I was done for the day and had some "nice" words coming out of my mouth. A friend showed up and he happened to have an extra graphtech tailwheel at the house so we went and swapped it out. So, I ended up getting 4 more flights on it, and was starting to get it trimmed out. I did notice in knife edge it doesnt pull to the belly at all, but does have a ton of proverse roll going on, so I need to mix that out. Also took 2% down elevator to throttle mix as well. All in all great flying little plane so far. Here is my setup
Hitec 5955s on aileron, elevator. 1 Hitec 5955 on pull/pull (in the bottom of fuse right in front of tailwheel assembly). Hitec 6965 on throttle. Single Fromeco 4800 peerless rx pack through Fromeco Badger swtich and Fromeco Regulator. Fromeco 2400 and smart fly ignition regulator up front. BME 115 on stock mufflers, Pete Model 4" Spinner with Mejzlik 25x12 3 blade. Graphtech main gear. Weighed it today 22lbs 6.5oz with stock wingtube, I have a CF tube that is going in it so that should get me down to 22lbs. The BME pulls the snot out of this plane, and the 3 blade is a great match. Balanced right at 4.25" at the wingtips, and is just about right for me for a mix of precision and 3D. Here is a pic, will get some more pics later.

Nice job Charles, looks sweet!
I'ts like the perfect set-up. Do you have to have anything special vehicle or trailor, to get it back and forth to the field? And how do you like mounting the badger switches?thanks Ward

I just want to point out to anybody flying at altitude that this is probably the best package you will find. Light weight, proven airframe, plenty of wing area and power.
There aren't many combinations that will fly excellent 3d at 6000' plus, thsi is one of them.
Nice job Charles!

zzw, I do not have anyone to film me except a friend from Dallas. Next weekend (11 Nov) I am going to the DOD fly-in in Houston, and he will be there and will get some video. I should have another gallon or two through then as well. I am comtemplating which 2 blade to get to try. I might try the Bolly Carbon 28x10 since it is the loudest prop I can find
. The 3 blade pulls the daylights out of this plane, and it is ballistic with this combo, but want to try the 2 blade. Tom, I can only take credit for the graphics, as its a typical Jim Reid build.

Take all possible care with those JMB canisters. They get REALLY hot at the back so take necessary precations, if not already done.
They also are quite fragile IMO due to poor quality utility aluminum. We are far from 6061-T6 !!
