Its a sweet plane! its so much faster to build with the nifty pocket hinges. That saves A LOT of time.

Since were throwing around ideas, I'd love to see Tom make a 150cc Pitts Python. Something a little smaller and liter than the H9 Ult., maybe around a 95" fuse for those of us who still refuse to buy a trailer. A strong lite airframe that would be more afordable than the QQ, with a more attractive color scheme.

Tom,

On the 85" Sukhoi - Will the shipment be the Honda scheme? Are the wing and stab in scale position or did you raise the wing and drop the stab to make it fly more Yakish?

Seriously considering a WH Edge or Sukhoi. All the other 50cc makers think that $600 is an acceptable price. Good grief!

Thanks!

Some will be in the Honda scheme without graphics, and we will have the graphics package available. I may do some in another scheme too, the Honda scheme is kind of plain without graphics and not everyone wants a flying billboard.

The Sukhoi started out as a Yak, we moved the wings and stabs a little to make it look like a Sukhoi but I'm not sure if they are exact scale. The important thing to me and to most customers is how it flies.

And I agree, $600+ for a 50cc plane is a bit much. I guess they need the extra money to spend on advertising to convince you to buy a $600 plane so they can buy advertising to convince you....

Thanks Tom. I don't exactly care for the Honda one. I have a H9 Suk and if I had a choice I would prefer to have the wing moved higher and the stab lower to get things aligned more zero-zero. That will affect how it flies. There is a reason the Yak and Extra 260 are so popular. Does the Suk have a can tunnel?

Please don't follow suite and jack your prices up. Eventually people will wise up and realize that WH planes are as good or better for $200 less!

I'll keep watching for updates.

Thank you!

Yes the Sukhoi has an external tunnel allowinga semi-exposed can. This keeps the can away from the internals of the plane and makes installing a can very simple.

I am also having Bisson make a side mount custom muffler which will fit entirely inside the cowl, so you can do it either way.

I like Rocky's idea of the 150cc Pitts... I don't need anything bigger than what I already have, but the thought of more "muscle" is enticing.

getting back Tom's post about hinging. I would agree 110% that if planes were offered pre-hinged from the factory that would entice me over much faster. Time is the enemy for most and having to hinge ailerons/stabs/rudder on a big bird becomes a chore. Not that I dont enjoy spending time in the shop but anything to get the birds off the bench and into the air faster is appreciated.

Seems as of late I have about 1 hour a month in the shop so ill take it if I cna get it prehinged!

look forward to the 07 releases

i recieved my 41% wild hare monday and have had some time to look it over and i am very and i mean very happy with what i see so far. no hinging to do, covering is perfect, all glue joints look very good, wing and tail line up great, and it's BIG. i have a DA 150 on the way and it will be a little while before i gather the rest of the stuff for it. i plan on using 5955's all around and seiko driver on rudder, fromeco batteries/switches, smartfly power expander and ign kill switch. i can't wait to see this big pretty bird in the air. i'll keep you posted.

randy

P.S. tom, i sent you two emails and i didn't get a responce. it may be problems with my email. if you sent replies please resend to [email protected]

thanks

Put me down for a flame scheme 35% extra. I would buy that plane in a heart beat.

I've pretty much decided on $450 for the basic plane, then if you want the Honda graphics package it's another $50.

The first 6 should be here in 5 weeks. After that add about 5-6 more weeks to get the larger quantity shipment.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the Pitts, this was brought up a long time ago, see the reply in post 48 of this thread:

Hello
Is it one or two elevator servos per half on the new 35% planes (Extra or Edge). I just wonder if it will work with the Emcotec mini 5?

One servo per side on elevators, two per side on wings.
