5645s are plenty strong. A more accurate alternative is the 985, a coreless non-digital we are now carrying for $63.

I should be able to get out to fly my new Sukhoi/3MM 53cc in the morning. I'll follow up with a report.

Super - hope you have fun (trying not to sound envious...and failing!! :) ) Looking forward to reading your first impressions; I am especially interested in hearing about the low speed handling

I know I'm biased and cannot be trusted, but I just assembled my second one of these and I have to agree with marzo91, this is the easiest plane to put together that I have done in a long time. Everything fits together, nothing requires modification, it's just really a pleasure to work with.

I already know how it flies, but now I'm experimenting with the TOC-53. I have canister headers coming from several sources, if they work out this will just increase the utility of this engine.

Well, I flew the Sukhoi this morning. It's sooo nice. I didn't find any bad habits. The engine started easily and ran great. I'll give the full flight report soon. You'll all be very happy....

Tom Riddle,

So you're an EOD guy. Wow! I get to see those trucks used all the time and that upper boom and fork works out pretty well for you folks. You be careful. Anyone doing that kind of work eventually gets deployed if you haven't already. One thing, your unit can almost make the turn around at Tom's place but Mstrohs doesen't have a chance;)

Pat,

Please excuse me...I didn't mean to be misleading - I'm just a lowly electron chaser (Army Computer Network Defense stuff).

However when its my turn to go back to the sandpit, I'm taking one of those fer sure!:D

Besides, no EOD guys would want to be within 1000 feet of me given the way my thumbs have been working lately!

marzo91,

AWESOME!!! (Color me envious!)

[Is the container here yet?]
