Currently I’m re-assembling a YS 140L and note that one push rod is a little longer than the other. Could someone please advise if the longer/shorter should be put on the intake/exhaust side. Or isn’t it critical and everything comes out upon re-adjustment of the tappet clearances.
Thanks

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your response.
Shorter by about 2mm (approximately 3/32”). It may not sound like much but it’s obvious they are of different lengths. Also FWIW the shorter one is not bent as I checked for straightness by rolling on a bench top.
Would you expect the pushrods to be the same length? Moreover, and in your experience, how much variability, if any at all, do you see in pushrod lengths, from the same engine and/or from engine to engine?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Neil M.
