As above gents.
My Capiche 140 avec DZ160 is a weapon which flatters even a very mediocre pilot like me. Particularly as I've
gone a bit nuts lately with the carbon fibre to shed just over a pound in weight off the thing.
But, as you all know too much is never enough....and I've got the chance to buy a not unreasonably priced 170cdi.
Is there much difference between the 2 especially as the 170 is a couple hundred extra grams once cdi and
battery are taken into account?
Whaddya reckon Guys?

Best
John

The difference between the 160 and the 170CDI is inmense, I think the 170CDI have around 30% more power, verticals on the 160 might be at full throttle were the 170CDI will be a 3/4, and if you fly with a wind of 30Km/hr you will really appreciate the power of the 170CDI.
Keep in mind, the 170CDI is the most powerfull of the 170's where the 170 converted to CDI are close to 10% less power, the 170CDI have a special piston called hyper piston wich boost the power, any 170 can be upgraded by replacing the piston anyway.

I'm liking number 3 P, although I'm concerned you might have seen me plying my trade
in the evenings/Gotta earn
my modelling money some how Cough.....
So you both think I shouldn't get hung up over a bit more weight?

Nice One P.
I've contacted the guy with a view to picking it up at the weekend
I'll report back when I get it installed.
