From: DK,
Default DZ lost compression

After two gallons of cool power 30% & apc 18*6 W & venturi restrictor, my DZ lost compression after landing today. Some of the bolts that holds the cylinder head were loose, in fact, one was almost out. I re-adjusted them but compression still lost ( I have another dz, is easy to compare). Could you please tell me how to solve the problem here at home (the engine is almost new, it must be something very simple) or I do have to send you the engine for checking? I adjusted all screws that are visible, but the compression it is not back.
Thank you

When the cylinder head gets loose, the engine goes lean and runs extremely HOT. You have probably damaged the ring, piston and maybe the liner too. It is also possible that the valves have been hurt as well. Hard to tell without seeing the engine.

I would send it in if you are not able to decide which parts need replacing.
