Dave,
I know you been away at the show and you sure don't need some yayhoo from SC bugging you about the 110 shipment yet again. But...
I am number 6 on the backorder list for the 110 at Tower.
Please tell me that Tower will be getting at least 6 110's from the April shipment?
Thanks,
Steeljaw

Steeljaw,
when did you order yours?
I have called tower to see how my order is ranked they told me that there is no way of knowing that.
I am hoping to get one, have orders from 3 different shops placed about 1-1.5 months ago.

Dave,
Weird thing? I was the number 2 post on this thread and for some reason my post is missing, but yours is second and in reply to Cobra78.
Anyway, I have heard from one of the places that I ordered and will be getting a ys 1.10, it will be shipped today.
YS 1.10 are here!!!
now is the break in and operation questions,
I have APC 16x6 and 17x4 which one is beeter for break in?
OS F plug and YS plug have both which one should I use?
Will be using YS fuel filter.
Will be using S&W fuel for YS 1.10.
I will be breaking on the plane, as instructions say so.
Thanks,

I'd go with the 16x6, but for break-in you might want a 16x4 if you are bench running and not flying it in. I would recommend running 6 full tanks through the engine prior to flying it, and set the engine per the running instructions at www.ysperformance.com A little extra time running the engine on the ground will pay off in the life of the engine. They can be flown in, but I'm old school and believe in static running of any new engine.
The OS F and YS#4 are exactly the same plug. OS makes the YS #4 for them. The ONLY difference is the marking on the plug.
Glad you got the engine, now go have fun!!

Dave,
Got my Y.S. 1.10 and question about the break in.
After adjusting the high end and transition as described on the web site, at what throttle should we run the engine? I will break in the stand for 5-6 tanks and be using 16x4W.
Cycle full to idle or hold it a full for x minute then x minute at idle, is there anything like it? or just full throttle?
Also for tappet clearence measurement, can I find a gauge (0.04-0.1mm) from auto part shops?
Do you have a maximum engine temperature number that should not be exceeded during the run for the life of it?
that thing is a beauty

.003" on the valve setting.
16x4W is probably too small for flying, but OK for break in. Full throttle, slightly rich, run for 3 minutes, shut off and cool for 15 minutes. Run 8 or 10 tanks through it this way then go fly.
Don't get it lean at any point during it's life and you'll be fine. I'm not a temp gun person as there lots of variables.
Make sure you use good fuel.

Im happy they are in
Hi Dave I goint to break in the 1.10 mounted in a plane, but I think not flying it until atleast 2 tanks
16x4W is then the good one for this or should I use: 13 x 12, 14 x 10, 14 x 12, 15 x 8
and is better to use the electric starter or hand star? will it suffer damage if it run reversed?
ho on another note I see central sell some aluminum T with filter and without filter, will the one filter hold up in the long time the presure?
or better get the normal T and use 2 YS1195 filters
thanks

Prop size depends on the type of airplane and flying you want to do. All of the prop sizes on your list will work, but try to keep the top engine rpm at 9500 or below.
Use an electric starter if you value your fingers.
Any filters are fine. Use what you like.
