Default YS 63S Won't Hold Idle

Hi dave,

Break-in the 63S on test stand with CP 30% heli for 6 full tanks (12oz.) then install it up side down on the plane. Problem is every time I fire it up & remove the glow then the RPM goes down slowly until engine stop & lot of fuses came out from the cab & the exhaust. do you think I need to adjust the LS neddle (anticlockwise) or the regulator (clockwise) to prevent more fuse to the engine & will it help to get better idle?

HS neddle setting is 1 3/4 turn out & tank location is 2cm above the cab. do you think it will caused the problem?

No problem with the tank height. The regulator is leaking. Try turning it in 1/4 to 1/2 turn to see if the carb leak stops. If it doesn't, the reg could have a piece of debris holding the plunger off the seat. Take the reg apart and clean it if turning the screw clockwise doesn't help.
