Dave what is the policy at YS for me doing things to my engine. I mean as far as taking the regulator off and the like? What exactly would cancel the warranty? I'm kinda like a bull in a china shop when it comes to tearing down something small like this.

Hey, it's no big deal, as if it's done properly with good tools, you can't tell it's been apart anyway. But if you don't feel comfortable with it and don't have good engine skills, I would recommend against it.

I called Richard Monday about the muffler and he said he couldn't do anything about that. I'm not real sure, but I probably have had it over a year, and he said that's all the warranty covers. My next question then is what's the thread on the engine that receives the pipe? If I could find it I'd try welding up one myself. In fact, it seemed to run fine without it. I think it would get real messy in the cowl though.[:'(] Is the stock pipe weldable or do you know?

I forgot to tell you that he said the engine I sent to him has a gasket leaking, didn't say which one, and that it would be on it's way back soon.
