Hello, I have a YS 110 that I am making him the break in as it says the manual, but the motor vibrates much. I already cut 4 screws of the engine mount.
Can have the motor badly some internal piece? the propeller this balanced.
Thank you very much.
PD: my English is bad, I hope that they understand it!

4 stroke engines vibrate more than 2 strokes. I'm not sure if you are saying you Broke the engine mounting screws?
It should not vibrate this much to break mounting bolts. I would look to the propeller balance.
If propeller is balanced, I'm not sure what else it could be. The engine will vibrate a slight amount more when has a setting too rich.
The 110 is actually quite smooth compared to the larger engine like the 140's. The 160 and 170 are much smoother than the rest of the engines.
But the 110 is not a bad vibration motor.

Hi Troy, also when closing or opening the high speed needle, the motor takes in responding like 30 seconds, and this is not normal. I also have a YS 45 and YS 63s, but with no of them I had east problem.
As it can be the problem?
Thank you very much. Greetings.

Not sure......................
where is the HS needle set to run?
where is the low end air bleed screw set?
and where is the regulator screw?
what fuel, what glow plug, what prop, what rpm?
diagnosing problems via the internet are hard.
example
The guys says it dies. what is wrong? The answer to this guy is simple did you put fuel in it? since there is not enough information with the question I can';t answer.
Sorry

May I ask if he is running a metal spinner on this engine?
I have a YS 1.10 on a Skyshark 109G6 that requires a large diameter spinner.
I had an incredible amount of vibration that was caused by the spinner and backplate assembly.
Once I ground those parts into balance with a sanding drum on a dremel tool, the whole airplane smoothed out.
I have noticed that of all my YS installations this one has the slowest and smoothest idle, I guess that big spinner is helping out with its flywheel effect.

good input...yes it could be an out of balance spinner or it could also be a bend crankshaft? If the engine was dropped at some point this can happen pretty easily. I dropped a brand new prototype 160DZ a couple years ago and bent the crank. We had to wait about 60 days to get a new crank for it as there were not any around! It had to be made in Japan. The 160 crank was beefy compared to the 140 version and it was not recommended to use the 140DZ crank...on the 160DZ
It would fit but was not strong enough and could give you problems.
