Hi Troy,
When changing from a 20% nitro content to a 30% should one keep the 300 RPM off the peak principle or richen it out any ways?
In other words, when changing from 20/20 fuel to 30 Heli one should richen the settings?!
YS 63 FZS runs great
YS 45 FS runs great - a bit problematic on the idle
Thanks in advance
Brian

Yes richen it up and re-peak it then back off 300rpm from the peak setting.
Switching from a 20/20 fuel to the 30% heli fuel you may need to open the HS needle maybe 1/4 to 3/8 turn richer setting than on the 20% nitro.
This is one of the reasons the 30% is some much better is it gives more fuel flow through the engine. This mean more oil, and more oil means more cooling.
It is common for the engines to run much cooler and more consitent when going to a higher nitro.
The 2 stroke 45 I don't really have a huge amount of experience with it on 30% heli fuel. you may look to a slightly different glow plug. OS #8 is a good one on smaller 2 strokes. It has just been a long time since I ran those small engines.

Thanks Troy,
On the YS 45 I am changing to 20% nitro from 15% as I want to move to a bigger prop ( from 10x7 to 11x6 ). My 63 has been running faithfully on the 30 heli.
Thanks and have a good weekend
