I so I was flying and had my first deadstick with this motor after 30 or so flights. Engine went out during a nose-up climb with a burp sound. Rough landing and checked fuel, still 1/2 tank left. Restarted it and now my idle is 4000 rpm. Nothing appears to be changed as far as the throttle blade or linkage. I look down the throttle and it appears at normal idle position for about 1800 rpm. About 1/8" open or less. Also my engine stop setting no longer works well.
Open the cowl to check the engine. No apparent rips in fuel lines, no obvious gasket failures. Only thing I suspect is a possible leak in the big pipe that comes out of the carb to the head. Any Ideas?

Probably an air leak or something. Usually when the RPM jump up at idle like that its because the engine is getting air from somewhere. The intake take or maybe the valve cover could be loose.

I don't know if you mean the throttle barrel stop screw? or is you mean your programed Throttle cut in your TX.
If the barrel stop screw is missing this would cause it to be leaking air. If the problem is your TX switch doesn't work....then that is is becasue it is leaking air somehwere...Extra air means it will go lean.

If a picture is worth a thousand words a video is worth a million.
You can see my plight. [link=http://www.patrickgraphics.com/YS63issue.wmv]Video[/link]
Through most of the video the throttle is closed completely. And remember those needle settings have not changed for 20 perfect flights. I checked for head cracks, loose plug, the whole 9. Nothing odd.

Upon removing the engine and checking for leaks I've noticed a leak in the seals that support the pushrod tubes. You say any leak in the valve cover area could cause a lean conditon?
