Default Rethreading shaft

Does anybody know where I can get a die or rethreader for a ys 110 which I believe is 8x1? All I can find are 8x1.25 dies. I screwed up the threads and can barely get the nut on and off.
Thanks
Nathan

Find yourself a thread file, it has all the different metric threads on it, and will let you touch up the end of the threads.

I never thought of a thread file. In fact I didn't' know they existed until I was searching for the Die. So I will look into it maybe this is something I need in my little tool chest.

thanks for the idea motorman. I learned a little something extra tonight.

I love the Internet! with all the stuff that flies around on RCU and other sites...I get frustrated at times. But learning a little tidbit is often worth it.

Thanks!

Troy,
My father is a retired Navy machinist mate, and I have learned quite alot from him over the years. He actually has touched up the end of a few cranks for me when I purchased used engines.
