Default YS HS setting

Hi Troy,
My YS-110 returned from YS japan after repair was done ( piston and bearings and gaskets ). the engine works fine now, i am using magnum 30% heli plus and 14x10. i started to run it with 2 turns on the HS needle, and then on every flight i close it by one click now the HS is at 1.75 turns but it looks to me that the engine still run quite rich since it remains cold and also
the fuel consumption is almost 2 oz per minute ( on average of 60% throttle ), the thorttole response is good
is that normal i really don't want to run this engine too lean.

Thanks
Shlomo

using a tachometer to read the rpm of the engine you can lean it slowly till the engine gets to a peak rpm then richen it up by 200-300rpm (1/8th turn) from this peak rpm position this is the best way to find the High SPeed needle setting.

My YS110 will run safely less than one and half turns also(5min less) and runs good . i use 20/20 fuel and the engine is 200 flights old .
