I too am having problems with my 63 s running pretty good at half or quarter throttle and then when I advance the throttle, it wants to die. If I go from Idle to full throttle, It will go at first but then die. I can't even get the high end set because it won't stay there for long. I just got it back from YS service so it should run great. Shouldn't it?
Have you verified that your check valve and tank plumbing is correct, and that the tank is getting pressurized? That's about the only variable between your setup and when YS test ran it . . .

You know, I just remembered the LS needle. I have totally forgotten about it. I will adjust that tomorrow and see what happens. I tried once again last night and it seemed to run even worse. When i first started it and let it idle, it would idle for a bit then eventually climb in rpm's. Then it would die.

If your idle is less than 2200 RPM and it climbs in RPM and then dies at idle the idle is lean.

I turned the LS in and then back out 1 turn. It ran great until the screws in the spinner came loose and sent the spinner down the street. After that, it would run for a few seconds then quit. I will let it cool off and fix the spinner and try it again in the morning.

I did have my plumbing backwards. I switched it around and Wala! it works great!

Default RE: YS63 question / problem

My YS 63 FZ is rich on the bottom end but runs lean on the top end. It seems to get a bit leaner as the flight goes on. I'm not sure what to try to correct this situation. I am using the 63 to power a Pheonix Models Extra 300 and when the engine runs well, I am pleased with this combination. Any suggestions on what to try to fix this condition?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
