Clean Muffler

Hello, I have a new 110S (has just done the break-in) but the muffler is already dirty. With that you can clean it?
Thank you. |
RE: Clean Muffler
It si aluminum so it will oxidize especially when it heats up and cools down. Its a fucntion of the material and the temperature changes.
You can use Aluminum Polish. Here in the USA we have a product called Mother's Aluminum polish. I'm sure your country has a similar brand of product. Its just metal polish that is for aluminum. You will have to do this all the time to keep the muffler looking like new. You can also clean the gunk off from the oil in your fuel using Brake cleaner. Just don't do it with the muffler on the engine. You will need to washer is well with soap and water before getting it near the engine again. The solvents in the cleaner like Brake cleaner will destroy the silicone parts int he YS engine. Troy Newman Team YS |

Troy, is the third 110 and I have the first version "S", but to give the maximum RPMs the engine vibrates a lot.
You put a picture of how I am one of the screws by vibrations ... What is the problem ... the screw? the bank? Thank you. |
RE: Clean Muffler
Hi, I have excelent results deeping the part in break fluid, and warm it in a cheese dip heater, during a day maybe. It will leave the part as new

RE: Clean Muffler
Wow,
There must be something wrong. Prop out of balance? Center hole in the prop not centered in the prop hub. I have never seen one break bolts like this. Those are larger bolts...I use 4-40 bolts or 3mm Bolts to hold my engines in place. The other possible solution is a bent crankshaft. However I doubt that is the case on a new engine. Perhaps you should it to YS Parts and Service along with the prop you are using... Or check the balance on the prop that you are using. Troy Newman Team YS |
RE: Clean Muffler
Always use screws 8-32, with this FZ110S and my previous FZ110:
