Anton,
I can't believe you haven't posted the detail pictures from your site regarding the "advanced" wings, etc! Awesome!

RE: Skymaster F14 Tomcat
Great! How elaborate will the function of the "advanced" wing be? Will the flaps be segmented like on the real aircraft so that the two outboard maneuvering flaps deflect in combination with slats for added maneuvering control? In this case, the inboard flap segments should remain stationary and in the up position.
Ailerons are not fitted, with roll control being provided by wing-mounted spoilers at low speed (which are disabled if the sweep angle exceeds 57°), and by differential operation of the all-moving tailerons at high speed. Full-span slats and flaps are used to increase lift both for landing and combat, with slats being set at 17° for landing and 7° for combat, while flaps are set at 35° for landing and 10° for combat.

Personally, I don't care for the scheme, probably because it's not representative of any tactical scheme on the F-14. Closest is probably the Keith Ferris geometric paint scheme used for a short time in the late 70s as I remember.

I got the scheme from a 70s f-14 that was used as a Top Gun aggressor

Fender,
I'm not trying to start an argument - others are doing a fine job of that on other threads - but I would be interested if you have a link or reference. I went through Top Gun in 1978 and they had A-4s, F-5s, etc., but no F-14s as aggressors. I guess it's possible some squadron did a one-of-a-kind geometric scheme for their student aircrew, but don't think Top Gun did it.

Gus

These new Skymaster Pro planes are a huge improvement from years ago. I congratulate Skymaster and BVM for their excellent products and reputations.

Fender,
I stand corrected! I'm correct in that this 'splinter' scheme was not a tactical F-14 paint job, but I was unaware that NSAWC used the scheme to simulate eastern bloc adversaries. I retired in 1998 and didn't keep up with this adversary role for the F-14. Congrats on a very unique paint scheme - I just hope it isn't too effective in masking orientation in the air! Best of luck with it.

Gus

RE: Skymaster F14 Tomcat
I had the artic scheme I my f-16 and during winter and low light it is tough to see. The f-14 scheme how ever is much better to see, I have seen others with the same colors and actually stand out nicely.
I have a awesome scheme picked out for a f-18 when I get one...

I hope Fei-bao/Jet Legend/Extreme Jets/Skymaster gets this out in double time.

I bought a Fried Beagle Jets f-14 and now I can't fly it.
I probably won't be the first guy with this Skymaster one, but I will feel ALOT better about trusting it over the Fried Beagle Jets one.
