Hi angel18
What type of engine are you referring to? What modifications do you want to do?
Your post seems to be in reply to a post in 2005 by the late William Robison. He passed away in March, 2007.
If you can clarify your question, there may be someone here who can assist you.

Well fredo and JRSmith, what's the latest news?
It's nearly 2 months since any word on your PRM 150s. Last we heard, Diego was fixing Jason's engine and fredo was about to send his back(?). Both engines leaking at the Cylinder Head to Barrel screwed joint.
What happened? Anything? Or are you guys quietly nervous about the whole thing. I just wish Diego would post us some good news. If the info blackout continues, the PRM radial will fade away like so many others...

RE: Everything Radial Engines
Hi Ross
Well as Jason already mentioned, there is no new information. Diego for some reason stopped communicating. I sent him 2 emails, one regarding collector ring (I wanted to purchase) and the other one basically asking for his well being.
I said this in the other post, I think what happened, after him and Luigi separated, Diego was very keen to continue and in fact he mentioned in one of his mails that he doesn't want his engines to die because of Luigi. I believe he had genuine enthusiasm and maybe that's one of the reason why he decided to send me the engine. He was trying to do the right thing. Now, I think the whole problem started when Jason found badly leaking cylinder heads. I saw the pics, the oil was virtually spitting out of there. That changed the whole situation. Needless to say, it sparked up a great debate and arguments on FG (if you read above post from Jason) I also had a suspicion that mine "had a slight seep of oil out of one cylinder but that could've been just a premature conclusion. The truth is I spotted a traces of oil but not a leak as such. I ran the engine since several times but no leaks. Anyway, my theory is, this must've been too overwhelming for Diego to deal with. He apparently also lost a lot of money and now he has to deal with leaky engine(s). His last statement was to redesign the sealing method and make some updates on fuel pump (if I remember correctly) but said to Jason no definite time frame. To me this doesn't sound good at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he quit the business. (I mean radial making) I hope not. It is also possible that he is still working on the engines trying to perfect them. I wish I had a crystal ball. Until he actually makes contact with us, we can all just sit and wait.
Anyway, with all this said I decided I might sell my engine for the right price. If anyone is interested, let me know.
Cheers

RE: Everything Radial Engines
hey fredo so you did fire up the engine. not much to report here. fired the engine a couple of times. didnt really get it to max rpm so not too sure about the leaks around the cylider head threads. the ignition packed up. sent it to diego and he confirmed same. unfortunately the new ignitions don't work with the earlier engines (mines no.7) so diego has sent it back to falkon for repairs. i will update here on the runnig in when i get the ignition.

RE: Everything Radial Engines
G'day mate, long time no hear.
Yes, I have fired up the engine about 10 times but decided to wait until I either get the collector exhaust ring from Diego (who is not replying to my emails) or make my own. Then give it another go. I'm not really sure what to do.
I think if I sell it, I might regret it. So, my plan now is to make an exhaust ring and then go through the whole running in procedure and see what I can get out of it. The longest I run I had, was about 5 min. I found one thing though. I couldn't fire it up initially and found my 6V ignition battery was showing about 4.9V. After the recharge it fired it up just after few flips.

Good to hear from you Sharman. Have you got any news on the ignition repair time frame?
Fredo,
I know that Keleo was going to build me a collector ring if I did not get the one I got from PRM. If I had my motor here I would send it to him to use as a template for you, but we all know were my motor is right now. I think your assessment of the situation is right on. I have told PRM and mentioned it the other thread, that I don't mind waiting for the new motor and the tests to be complete as long as there is communication. Communication is the key. I do think once all the mechanical issues are worked out the PRM motor will be a great engine. I hope they get some distributors in the US and worldwide so PRM can focus on development, manufacturing and testing and the distributors can handle the customer service and sales. Just my thoughts on that. Take care guys and talk to you soon.

RE: Everything Radial Engines
hi jason / fredo, haven't posted anything lately. just too busy with work and kid. to answer your question, no I haven't got a time frame for the repairs on the ignition. but diego did confirm the ignition was bad. i also had intermittent firing of no.5 before it packed up altogether. i've been reading your posts on the other thread. i did not push the engine to max rpm so i'm not sure if mines leaking or not although there does appear to be a think film of oil on the back of the cylinders. i agree with fredo on the ignition requiring 6v. it refused to start on 4.8 although there were sparks on the plugs.i hope prm can sort things out and provide service in the future when required. it will be a shame to see a nice product dissapear. not to mention the amount of $$ we've sepnt on the engine so far. hope all works out and i'll report here when i get the ignition back. take care guys!sharman.

Hmmm...have to make a decision at some point.
Glow version + nasty ol' glow fuel residue & after run oil
OR...gas power...lots of power but very high price tag. but with this engine I'm almost assured of not adding nose weight to make it balance.

RE: Everything Radial Engines
yes my is the bigger one 103" span I think the 77cc would work great on yours I even think it would fly my ok I just want the 9 cyl because thats what the org. agcats had. I think the moki 150 is way to big for the 89" and your right glow is a mess just have to keep it clean.

RE: Everything Radial Engines
Are the UMS-Seidel 7-70 and the newer "Evolution" 7-77 similar / the same? Did they really change the displacement, or just re-badge the engine? Ditto for the 9-90 and 9-99?
Thanks, RB8
