Rocker Cover:E,G,I,R,S,AA,EE,II,RR,AS,BM,BN,BZ,BS,CASAI5049A
According to this the rocker covers for the .50, .56 and FG 11 fit the FG 20/21 gas engines, The 1.25, 1.50 and 1.80 glow engine covers are much larger. I wonder why the gas engines have the smaller covers.

Whoa! make sure you freeze the guinea pigs before firing one.Are you a commercial guinea pig breeder because those a10 gatlings fire six thousand guinea pigs a minute. What did you feed them before firing them at who knows what, the questions could go on and on and i'm stressed, any saito questions?

Pete, I don't have all those engines to,compare, my only gas engine is the FG 11.I have some extra rocker covers to compare for a 1.50, a .30 and maybe an .82. I'll line em up as best as I can I'll identify them.

R C Specialties Turbo Headers get mentioned quite often in this Saito thread, here is a link to an excellent review of this quality product.

I think that Saito is using the off the shelf approach on many of their engines designs. Why make individual rocker covers for each engine when they can make 3 or 4 covers for the entire line. Same probably holds true for many of the replacement parts. If they keep the length of tube and pushrods the same between different displacement by enlarging the bore, and keeping the cylinder the same height off the crank, then those are fewer parts to stock.

Sorry popo did'nt know you were going fully organic on the guinea pig firing, cabbage and brussells sprouts,a lot of gas but what greeny inspired ignition system do you plan on using. There can't be a grown man that,at some party somewhere, has watched a mate bend over and flick a bic lighter and huge flames and thought...i can do that. ps sorry to hear you are now using a grey graupner 12x6 prop to peak your saito 125.Could you run more than 35% nitro safely do you think? aaah mate i'm feelin your pain

Is the fg11 the old fa62? if so that engine was a cracker and what are you going to fly it in? (quote)
Yes the FG 11 is 62 B based with an increased bore from 26.2mm to 27mm making it a .66. Horizon actually has the wrong picture accompanying the .62-B, #2 is correct.

Hello Great and Powerful Saito-Heads. I need your sage advice! I.e., how about a method for Cleaning valves...
I'm rebuilding an old FA-65 for a friend and the compression 'could be better'. The engine was run very rich but I've cleaned a lot of that old burnt castor out and am going to test run the engine today. But I feel that the valves may need to be removed and cleaned and/or lapped.
I've used the old Bon Ami paste method with limited results. Does anyone else have a clever idea for getting the crud off of the valves?? Could I perhaps inject something like WD-40 down the intake while the engine is running?? Something like that???
Thanks,
Bob

I usually bake castor oil soaked engines at 250 F for 20 to 30 minutes and then the stuff wipes off. I then hit the engine heavy with after run oil (Marvel Mystery Oil for pneumatic tools).
