RCU Issues I was beyond irritated with the marketplace last week when I was suspended for attempting a trade down from G 62 to G 38. My price was wrong per them. How to you set a price on a trade down I was willing to accept. Unable to get them to see my view. Resolved. I gave up and the ad expired.
This and other forums are really valuable. I have gotten more good information here than anywhere else. The members of this group are especially good.

Okay small problem. The Waco I picked up at a swap meet had a partially built fuse. I have redone the firewall to accept a 30 cc gas engine and relocated the gas tank.
though all was going well until I looked back at some of the posted pictures on this thread. At first I could not put my finger on what looked wrong. Then I realized the person who started this fuse had sanded all the fuse stringers. Now all the stringers are kinda flattened instead of having sharp edges. Trying to decide where to go from here. I don't see a way to "fix" this without starting over. Thinking of finishing it as is and building another from the plans and using all info gathered from here. Any thoughts.

Herb,
I have built a 25% and 33% WACO, I sanded the stringers on mine so they had a round edge against the fabric, no square corners. The full scale has a rounded edge against the fabric. If the stringers are the correct height and have not been sanded down too far you should be ok.
I am attaching a pic from my 33%, it is the best one I can find showing the edge of the stringers.
Hope this helps.
Anthony

Thanks Anthony, from what I can see in the picture my stringers are not sanded to much more than yours. Mine are a little 'flatter" but I guess after seeing yours they are liveable. From some of the pictures posted of the full size plane it looks as if the stringers have sharp edges.

Dan, thanks for heading up the shirt order. I know you received payment for my two XL shirts from paypal, and received confirmation from you. But, I'm still not listed anywhere in your posts. Anyway, I hope mine is in the mail with the rest-
Thanks!
